Large specimen tree planting and moving

Large specimen tree planting and moving

During January 2010 we were commissioned to source and plant 4 large trees and move another 7. All of the trees except the Olive were staked using a guy system, all were provided with underground watering pipes and fed with bone and super phosphate, it was a long process but we were lucky enough to get help from the Arborist & Tree Removal Sydney. Writing this i the summer I am happy to report that all of the tree are doing well and put on healthy amounts of growth this year.

Planting list:

Olive (Olea europaeus) 500ltr pot
Strawberry tree (Arbutus unedo) 500ltr pot
Magnolia grandiflora 500ltr pot
Holm oak (Quercus ilex) 110ltr pot

The strawberry tree, Arbutus unedo, is native to Europe including parts of south west Ireland. A beautiful evergreen garden tree it requires well drained soil. Beautiful flowers are followed by strawberry like edible fruits.

If you would like to plant some specimen trees of any size we can advise on selection and carry out the planting. If your just interested in the pictures please enjoy these.

As well as this Camellia (right) we moved, using a a tree spade (below) 4 large laurels, 1 large Photinia and 6 large deciduous azaleas.
