Emotive Landscapes is a small but fast-growing garden design and build company working throughout Gloucestershire and the surrounding counties. We design and build gardens that are uniquely tailored to each of our client’s specific needs, tastes and lifestyles . Job Purpose
Reporting directly to the Managing Director and working under the direction of the Foreman/Team Leader, the Landscaping Assistant will provide assistance and carry out general labouring and implementation/execution tasks to ensure that Emotive Landscapes landscaping projects are delivered safely and to a high standard, whilst exceeding our client’s expectations.
Key Knowledge
- Relevant experience/qualification in landscaping
- Good understanding of landscape construction
- Basic principles of horticulture
- Good knowledge of H&S requirements
Key Skills & Responsibilities
- Understanding of design drawings and help with the setting out of sites and levels
- Ability to think logically and plan ahead
- Adhere to H&S guidelines and wear correct PPE
- Knowledge of and ability to lay paving, setts and stonework
- Knowledge of and ability to lay blockwork and brickwork
- Construction of decking and fencing
- Shrub and tree planting
- Turfing and seeding
- Begin to understand processes involved in organise materials required to execute the jobs
