Job Purpose

Reporting directly to the Managing Director and working under the direction of the Foreman/Team Leader, the Landscaping Assistant will provide assistance and carry out general labouring and implementation/execution tasks to ensure that Emotive Landscapes landscaping projects are delivered safely and to a high standard, whilst exceeding our client’s expectations.

Key Knowledge

• Relevant experience/qualification in landscaping
• Good understanding of landscape construction
• Basic principles of horticulture
• Good knowledge of H&S requirements

Key Skills & Responsibilities

• Understanding of design drawings and help with the setting out of sites and levels
• Ability to think logically and plan ahead
• Adhere to H&S guidelines and wear correct PPE
• Knowledge of and ability to lay paving, setts and stonework
• Knowledge of and ability to lay blockwork and brickwork
• Construction of decking and fencing
• Shrub and tree planting
• Turfing and seeding
• Begin to understand processes involved in organise materials required to execute the jobs
